I am going to quit soon, as I really dont have time to play (except occassional pvp) I am all for this idea and I will be giving some nice, perfect stuff to newbie players if they need it. Only problem is Im not sure who is a newbie and who is just greedy.

I have a feeling you'll be broke after two days of this mate, honorable intentions true enough, but well, people are greedy liars.

I've got 93 gold right now, that 3rd set of 15k armor really put a dent in my budget/material line...but now I don't need anything, and problably never will. And remarkably enough, I'm getting money back at a pretty damn nice rate.

Either way, good luck with that, hope people don't run you dry too quickly.

PS: I think the last update "Equipment Exploit Fixed" did a little more than just fix some equipment exploit.

I think this thread is a terrific statement about this community. Often we all get bogged down in the naysayers and complainers and forget about all the great stuff that -also- goes on with this game.

It sort of reminds me of the newspaper: Horrible deeds are plastered on the front pages. The good, human, philanthropic things that far outnumber and outweigh the negative stuff is buried on the back page of the classified section....but at least it's there!

Well, I will never go broke, because I earn back my gold in no time flat. People always complain about the economy, but they really are mad not at the economy but their own failure to admit they take and take and take and never give back. If enough of us give out free shit all the time as we can, and earn back losses with actually EARNING IT, the economy screaming will die down when it fixes itself.

Anet is not the problem, we are. Yes, WE. I am gonna help fix it. If it doesn't fix, at least I and many like me have tried.

I also like salsa by the way

I'll be brutally honest, and if it gets me banned, I won't lose sleep or be surprised. My honesty makes me enemies, but its me, take it or leave it:

I loathe IGN, and will have no dealings that with creature.

Talk to me in game. I'll see what I can do for you when I see you. I am not making this thread to be a want-ads thing.

I gave a slightly less than max damage storm bow with +21 health to a level 5 ranger in Ascalon the other day. He seemed to appreciate it, and I'm not going to waste my time haggling for an extra gold or two.

If you see me in Ascalon, I have excess.

Well you said it'd be nice to hear good stories so here is one (of many):

I found a 14-24dmg longbow, with +14% Hp> 50%, 16% chance of +1 marksmenship (gold item). Originally wanted to sell it for 5K but rather than wasting a lot of time in trade channel I posted it at 4K. Which I think was reasonably cheap. First person to respond was like 3K. I said "4K please" he kept trying to barter. Which I'm very tired of so he just cancelled the trade.

Went to Frost Gate and tried selling it there. A lvl 10 R/N wanted to see it. So I showed her and was like "Wow, Wish that was mine!". I said you have 4K she said she only had 678gold. ha. So we chatted for a while then sold it to her for 500gold, 1 steel and a red dye. ha. She was pretty happy about that. But its almost more fun to help someone out rather than making the money you hoped for.

I've gotten the best reactions from people that post WTB 1 *material*. I like finding those people and say "ha, you can have it for free". Most people are real grateful others are all "why would you do that, and whats the catch".

Whether I get played by someone acting to be poor or not. I don't care. If I feel I helped someone thats all that matters.

I have no problem with people asking for "WTB 1 granite slab" or "WTB 1 iron". Although it is in abundant out there just outside the gate, it may save him/her an unnecessary trip, so I just gave. Got a thank back and 10g offered. I accepted the 10g as a gift, and I think both of us feel good.

I do have problem when someone asked "may I have 47000g". The problem is, I don't have that much

(47k was really asked yesterday night, someone even parodied "May I have a BMW")
